Empower yourself

empoweryourmindnow.com
If you happen to a South African you may be faced with countless opportunities and if so please don't waste them. Take them on and make the best out of them and after you have accomplished your goals or reached some of your dreams if not all of them enough to live a good life then share your knowledge and experiences with those who are less fortunate than you help other to get where they want to go and in that way this tradition or culture will go a long way to having better communities, and a better nation.

If you however happen to be South African who is faced with circumstances that keep you from living a good life, please don't allow them to define you or determine your tomorrow. You first need to believe in yourself which I know you may have heard it all before, but it's true and only right that you do that because without believing in yourself you cannot believe in anything else and without believing then nothing you set your mind to will work for you.

Secondly you need to have a vision, a dream, an idea and believe in it, that is how the error of evolution came to being and many of those people of that time made it big for themselves. Be creative, be inspired, look around and identify an opportunity that can make life easier and better for others not just for you and by doing it in that approach all the rewards that come with that vision will follow you. Having a vision will not only take care of you but it will also take care of your children and their childrens' children and for many generations to come.

Make sure you surround yourself with good and wise people who will believe in you and your vision people who can share their knowledge experience and wisdom with you and will never sabotage you by putting you down or stealing your vision. And very important make sure that you vision is protected there are unfortunately many Africans who have had their ideas, inventions and such stolen because of there ignorance and have lost out so much because of that.

It is very important to be informed about what you want to do and find a way of perfecting your craft and excelling in what you want to do. If you happen to not get a chance to go to school to inform yourself about such things go to your local library, go to google, look at educational, news, business, entertainment, sports, history, geographical and discovery channels to stay informed about the different worlds and fields. Doing this could also not only keep you informed but create an interest in a certain area, maybe help you identify a need or opportunity and basically shape your mind to a certain level of understanding how things works.

Should it happen that you have no financial backup then get a regular job, make some savings and invest. Set up a proposal and approach people and organisations who can help turn your vision into a reality. If you can't get a regular job make money whichever way you can, be a model, a Navy officer or just do something to get you out of the gutter. Let me not fool you and let you know that getting there is not easy but as long as you keep hustling and knocking, the door will eventually open and once you enter there is no turning back as only unlimited success and prosperity awaits for you to make it happen.

BLACK PEOPLE PLEASE DON'T BE FOOLED

Word on the street is that the South African government is planning to give out unemployment grants to the youngsters who are not working. I am not quiet sure yet as to weather it will be for those who went to school and graduated who will receive funds until they get a job or start a business of their own or it is for those youngsters who have been denied the opportunities to further their studies or on both accounts.
The problem with this situation is that people will not find the reason go to college or university and graduate and it will encourage people not to work and just laze around all day and everyday and regardless of whether it will make life simpler this can cause major issues for the country but then again I guess it could reducee the crime rate we supposedly have.

I am sure that the money the government will be giving away will not meet all the needs of the average citizen maybe only the basic needs which means they will be denied other opportunities to enjoy the good things in life with great abundance such as investment opportunities for a better life and a way of beating the system of this world. This will only keep you oppressed by making you continue living a life of lack while they the current and previous rulers of this country continue to get richer and the formerly disadvantaged get poorer. “They wanna be celebs and famous”, adding that “nowadays it’s all about money and political favours.” by Hip Hop star Slikour, I agree 100%.

America as far as I know and heard despite its recession situation that took place a couple of years ago has actually quickly resolved that issue where it is now only under 8% unemployment rate as of this year alone. The reason why South Africa faces unemployment matters in the first place is because the ruling party denies people work opportunities if they are not members of the ANC. If for instance there are tenders for construction and you didn't know about this requirement it could take six months be an ANC member which during that time the tenders or work opportunities are given out to those who are members of the ANC which means you lose out on the opportunity to work. The other matter is that government only invests in development for construction, engineering, agriculture and blue collar work opportunities but not others like media, entertainment, sports, corporate, science and technology which are all just as important.

The problem with some of you black people is that you tend to forget where you come from and become greedy and forget your own fellow black brother and sister once you have all. You also tend to fight each other and putting each other down and wanting to be better than your fellow man and the only one at that instead of empowering each other like our white and Asians people do which is why they are still successful and prosperous today because of the unity they have among each other. But you black people not only do you fight each other as black people you even fight each other within your own cultures and tribes. Now if only our current rulers of this country could think and act like them Asians and whites I mean we have already adapted most of their ways any way so we might well do this as it seems to be the only good practice that can take us forward as a nation.

This basically proves that Hip Hop star Slikour was right when he recorded his song "Blacks are fools" as controversial as it may be. “Coz Blacks are fools. They just wanna be fresh, and they wanna be cool, give them a little money and they think they rule. But I hope we better than that.” I do apologise for any offense I may have caused you ask any white man out there they could tell you exactly what I have told you it's just that they will be perceived racist if they say anything like this.

To you my fellow black South Africans don't just depend on the government to take care of you, make money which ever way you can and then make some good investments so you, your children and your childrens' children never have to worry about money and also do this so if God forbid we have a major economic crisis you don't end up with nothing. Take it or leave it.

Winnie Madikizela Mandela

BBC.UK.com
She is known as the mother of the nation, yes you guessed I am talking about Winnie Madikizela former wife of former President Nelson Mandela. I missed her birthday on the 26th of September 2012, not that I was invited, she is now about 70 years of age and I must say she is aging beautifully, that is just one of the benefits of taking good care of yourself. I thought I should take the time to recognise her as the woman that I think many South African women love, respect, and admire, she is definitely not one to be reckoned with. I remember as a little girl at prime time which is from 19:00pm to 20:00pm where the whole family would be watching the news and waiting for the drama or soapie of the night. I remember always seeing her on the news and most of the time it was not always good news and I think with all the accusations, charges, court cases, appeals and all the divorce must have been the final draw of them all. I mean any woman who gets a divorce just falls apart especially when they have stood with that man through thick and thin and sacrificed a lot for the struggle and after all that it was over. I have to say that I do feel that the party she always represented however was never really there for her and I think then they also contributed in keeping her down. Word is she and her family have been neglected by the ruling party many times and only give the Mandela family attention when there is an agenda. Well why am I not surprised it's very possible I've seen it myself and I do hope those people who do that can just at least remember what SA is all about and where it comes from and they were not the only ones in that struggle, in fact the person who lead them to where they are now is the very same person they are taking for granted and that for me is heartbreaking.

Despite the detains, the troubles and struggles of those times Winnie has always been able to fight back and make great comebacks and no matter how they tried to break her and keep her down she just somehow always found a way of mending herself again and rising never ever gets a final knock out. I really appreciate women such as her as she reminds me of my own mother who is just as strong, it is women like her who make us believe that as women we can make it through anything and that it's never about whether you are a fighting warriors in some war but it's about one believing in what they stand for and no matter how many times you get knocked down you just keep rising up and fighting back ten times better and stronger and even smarter than before. In short it's not about being a war hero it's simply about not giving up. This reminds me of my Preacher who once said life's challenges never end but how lifeless and boring life would be without them. That is what I have seen and experienced myself in my life and looking the my mother and Winnie I admire their strength and courage to keep living on till you reach your final destination and then leave this world having lived your life to the fullest. That is what I am taking with me from Winnie Madikizela Mandela despite all the mishaps don't we all have them anyway.

Let Nelson Mandela be

I think it's time I said how feel about this particular matter because I don't like what is happening at all. First of I just wish people would stop expecting Tata Madiba to just show up at events and places for whatever the reason. I think he should be given the choice to choose what he wants to do and where he wants to go and who he wants to see. frankly I think everyone who is everyone tends to think they know what he wants and decides what to do with him. I don't think the public itself should force issues on the Mandela family to make Madiba make an appearance every now and then neither is it fair on his part. I just wish that the general public which I'm actually are more understanding than the authoroties, yes I mean the political leaders, ministers and their spouses who I feel use the old man for their publicity gains. Like just the other day I saw a leader's wife taking pictures with tata where cameras where flashing in his household he may have been smiling for the cameras because he was probably told to do so he is probably unaware of what is happening most of the time when those cameras are there to sell papers out of him. I mean yes he is the world icon figure well known loved and respected and honoured by many and he is a very valuable man know to have the heart of gold and has even tranformed many of his own to be like himself yes a great example of humanity and love indeed. It was okay for the media to enter his home every now and then and for him to attend such great events such as concerts, sport games and other political matters and stunts when he was still young in his old age and was able to walk up straight without using the cain to walk and without those ear pieces he uses but now he is old and fragile and yes we will never forget what he has done and it is always good to honour him every now and then but let us give him a break, let him rest and spend time with his family for the next 20 years God willing. I urge the general public of the South Africa and the world not to expect Madiba to come to sport events like the 2010 world cup one of which I'm sure his wife Gracia was not happy about and she herself must not mind whether Madiba waves to the crowds or not believe me nobody will take offence to that and anyone who does is just not right. And so I hope you will not be expecting hime to come to the African Cup of Nations opening next year and to the political leaders and ministers with due respect and great humbleness please don't use uTata for your public political gains, please.

Are you a hater???

I have been watching H8er1 a TV show about ordinary people who hate certain celebrities. The show is hosted and presented by the famous Latino Mario Lopez where he talks to the hated celebrities and works with them to get a chance to convince their haters to change their minds about them. First the haters are told that they are auditioning for a show or are part of an interview, usually the star will be mentioned during a game, dating show or focus group interview, sometime other things will be set up like getting the hater to a spa for a message or getting them to eat at a certain restaurant and everybody participating is an actress or actor except the hater who is clueless.

When the hater's celebrity is mentioned the hater is given the opportunity to express his or her views about the celebrity they hate which are usually negative while the hated celebrity is watching and hearing everything that the hater is saying about them and eventually appears before the haters who at that time is shocked and chokes on their words. The hated celebrity and the hater spend a whole day and night together to give the hated celebrity the chance to change their minds about them.

I think the show is a great platform for celebrities to explain the negative perceptions made about them and to change a lot of other peoples' minds about them so as to bring about an understanding as to who they really are and where they come from and why they do certain things that will cause people to judge them. However I don't think it's any one's place to judge a person you do not really know or understand. Neither is it fair to hate a person based on what you see and hear in the media. Imagine if it was you and you were the celebrity and was hated by people who don't even know you, or better yet imagine not being a celebrity at all and you got caught doing something scandalous on camera for the world to see how will you explain yourself then? All I know is that in this world we are all human who are one way or another bound to make mistakes and we hopefully learn from them and there are probably those who will remind you what you did last summer no matter how long ago it was or how much you have grown since then. It's one thing to be judged by those who know you than those who don't yet nobody has a right or should be in any place to judge
anyone.

So the next time you want to hate a celebrity based on what you hear and see in the media as in their music, their lifestyles, and the way the became famous without knowing and understanding where they come from then you are mistaken.

So whats going on with Rihana

So word has been that Rihanna has been partying non stop drinking and smoking almost everyday to the point where Jayzee wanted to take her to rehab after her bad situation with Chris but with all that in the past and forgotten and Chris being forgiven and we dare not remind him what he has done in all fairness let us not forget that even though Rihanna may be out it as some say not me, I think we should look at what she has been through before judging her.

First there was the case of her taking Chris back and then management telling her that she would be setting a bad example to her fans and what not and a lot of people were disappointed by that. But I must it's very easy to critisize a person who has been in her situation if you have not been there yourself so chances of understanding why she would do such a thing are very unlikely.

We all break down from time to time especially when love hurts and there is a time where we find our breaking point some longer than others, sometimes we may just be having a good time and with regards to Rihanna it may have been both.

As for the fashion police critisizing Rihanna for what she wore when she got an interview with Oprah I think she dressed that way out of respect and humbleness for Oprah but I guess they were just doing their job. Rihanna and Chris however were forever being spotted on music tours and music video awards hugging and kissing and Chris appearently also performed with Rihanna for her birthday on one of her tours in France. And that just says between the two of them all is forgiven but not forgotten as word is Chris recently got a tatoo that broke Rihanna's reminding her of the tragic moments that happend in their relationship in 2009, the tatoo is a picture of a bruised up woman which obviously gets us thinking it's Rihanna of which he denies. When asked how she and Chris were doing or up to she mentioned that she will always love him and by that it means they may never be togather again although Chris Brown's mother apparenty tweeted Rihanna after the Oprah interview saying  please tell the truth which is suspicious. The two however like the way they began their relationship still claim to be friends probably because they fear what their friends, family and public would say.

Rihanna recently lost a contract deal or was rather dissmissed by Estair beauty cosmetics for her out of controll lifestyle and her accountant  cheated her out of her contract and apparently lost a lot of money. And then there was also a case of Drake and Chris Brown beef over Rihanna which was similar to the Tupac and Biggie beef over Faith Evans. The beef lead to a big fight at the night club between Chris and Drake and their antorouges which invloved puching, and bottles thrown all over the club news about the fight went on for weeks and everybody wanted Chris and Drake to fight in a boxing match to see who was better but Uncle Rush apperantly put an end to it and the guys made up.

But I have to say that no matter what is being said and how Rihanna is being represented in the public eye whether be it her relationship with Chris or her crazy lifestyle it is our place  to know but not our place to judge. Despite all her mishaps the highs and lows of this industry I admire her stregnth and humbleness I continue to witness everytime I see her and hear her music.

THE BRAXTON SISTERS

So dare I say anything about the Braxton family but I really can’t help it I just love them so much I even wrote about them, if only they knew. Coming from a very small family and seeing the Braxtons makes me wish I also had five older sisters like them but instead I am like each and every one of them and the my  sisters and I, that I never  had got a chance to grow up with are only getting to know each other now.

www.WEtv.com
Anyway, the Braxton sisters are the super star Toni Braxton, the middle child Towanda Braxton, the independent Traci Braxton, the party animal Trina Braxton and the dramatic, tacky Tamar Braxton.  I can relate to all of the Braxton sisters. I as the first daughter to my mother and father am the one who takes the dominating role and deals with all the pressures of the family. I also as the second born am the middle child and deal with all the middle child issues that we face, like Towanda I take the role of being responsible for everyone. Just like Trina I love to go out and have a good time. Traci and I are very similar as we both don't want to be confied by the way world wants us to be, and I am one of the different ones in my entire family probably more than Traci and last but not least I can be very dramatic like Tamar I just don’t like to be overlooked and not heard or be taken for granted and disrespected that all I’m saying, so don’t get it twisted. I have however been tweeting Toni on twitter but she never responds. Maybe it’s just a Toni Braxton wannabe, or maybe there are too many of us that she never sees my tweets, or because I don’t have a great following or because she just doesn’t like me which is all just heartbreaking but I guess you can’t make a person to like you when they don’t. I also complimented Trina on her song party or go home but she also didn’t respond. And so I guess I best leave them, let them go, forget about them and let them be. But nonetheless as hard as letting them go will be I will love them forever.
